After receiving multiple threats, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) officially filed articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday.
The first article of impeachment accuses President Biden of misusing the executive branch to shield his family’s business and influence peddling schemes from congressional oversight and public accountability. It also alleges that key documents, repeatedly requested by Congress, were withheld by Biden administration officials, including FBI Director Christopher Wray and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. These requested documents reportedly include bank suspicious activity reports related to the Biden family and information about complex financial structures used to funnel millions of dollars to Biden family members, aiming to deceive the public and conceal the sources of those funds.
The second article of impeachment claims that President Biden, in violation of his oath, failed to faithfully execute the laws and directly contributed to the ongoing crisis at the southern border, jeopardizing the safety of the American people.
The articles of impeachment further assert that the Bidens were involved in a bribery scheme, supported by an FBI FD-1023 form provided to members of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. According to the document, when Joe Biden was Vice President, he and his son Hunter allegedly received $5 million each from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. It is alleged that the Bidens received these payments in exchange for preferential treatment from American decision-makers.
The articles of impeachment highlight an incident in 2016 when Vice President Joe Biden demanded the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating corruption within Burisma, a State-sponsored organization. Biden reportedly emphasized that failure to dismiss Shokin would risk $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees. During that time, Hunter Biden, despite lacking formal energy sector training or experience, served on Burisma’s Board with a monthly salary of $80,000.
In a 2018 Council on Foreign Relations meeting, Joe Biden infamously boasted, “Well, son of a b****, he got fired,” referring to Shokin’s dismissal.

The articles of impeachment presented also accuse Vice President Harris of neglecting her duties in relation to the handling of the border crisis. According to Ogles, the Biden administration has undermined efforts to enforce U.S. laws aimed at securing our borders.
Ogles pointed out that, historically, the number of monthly “encounters” at the border had never exceeded 200,000 since the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security. However, under the Biden administration, six of the highest months and eight of the top ten months on record have been recorded.
Furthermore, Ogles highlighted the alarming impact of drug trafficking at the southern border, noting that fentanyl overdoses have become the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45.
The Representative squarely placed the responsibility on Vice President Harris, stating that she has shown remarkable incompetence in carrying out her duties and has displayed indifference to the suffering of Americans as a result of the ongoing border crisis.
He criticized Vice President Harris for consistently refusing to visit the southern border to understand the underlying causes of the crisis, except for a single trip taken hundreds of miles away from the focal point of the migrant crisis.
